Blagojevich Blog: Hospital Shakedown

Blago testified that he never held up a rate increase for doctors at Children’s Memorial Hospital in exchange for a $25,000 contribution from Children’s CEO Patrick Magoon. On a Nov 12th phone call, Blago is heard asking Deputy Governor Bob Greenlee if the rate increase can be held up. When told it can, Blago replies “good to know.” Blago explains that because of that information, he decided not to call Magoon for a contribution.
