Blagojevich Blog: Blago and the Racetrack Deal

Rod Blagojevich is back on the stand this morning and the alleged shakedown of racetrack owner John Johnston is up first. Under questioning from his attorney, Aaron Goldstein, Blagojevich tells the jury he thought he had a commitment from John Johnston to raise or donate $100,000 by October 8, 2008.

Goldstein refers to a tape — but does not play it — where Robert Blagojevich tells Rod that Johnston was good for his commitment.
