Blagojevich Blog: Agreement on Two Counts

In a note the jury told the judge it has reached agreement on only two counts.  It has been unable to reach unanimous agreement on any of the other counts.  The jury told the judge it has deliberated on all counts and acts, with the exception of the wire fraud counts.  There are 11 wire fraud counts.

The judge will issue jury instructions telling the jurors to deliberate on the wire fraud counts to the extent necessary to enable them to vote.  A deliberative decision should be made, said the judge, even if a unanimous verdict can not be reached.

The jury has gone to lunch.  They will get the instructions and resume deliberations.
