Blagojevich Blog: Sam Adam’s Dilemma

Judge James Zagel warned Sam Adam Jr. that he could be held in contempt if he questions why the government did not call Tony Rezko or Stuart Levine to the witness stand.  But Adam feels strongly that the ruling is unfair to his client and said earlier today he was ready to go to jail, if necessary.  The judge suggested another defense attorney could be brought in to do the closing argument.

But Adam Jr. told me tonight that he planned to do the close tomorrow.  What he wasn’t sure about was whether he would bring up Rezko and Levine.  He will ponder it overnight.  Should be a very interesting day in court tomorrow!
