Thanks for the great episode on raising Monarchs.
I have been doing the same for a few years but on a very small scale. It’s magical. I am excited to try Dan’s production methods to increase my numbers. The video illustrates pretty well how he’s worked it out. I love the plastic cup for the last stage. If you have some helpful hints to share or a website that he’s created, that would be great. Thanks again.

I also raise Monarchs from eggs and released 300 last summer. It is a wonderful hobby!

I am interested in the system that Dan uses. How can I get the details?

  3. Diane Culhane says:

Inspired by the July rebroadcast of the story about Dan’s butterfly raising, I tried my hand. Collected 13 eggs, of which 4 hatched and 3 became butterflies this past weekend (8/27). Will they likely head south or stick around here and try to squeeze in another generation?
